About Sierra Terhoch

Welcome to my counselling and movement practice, where we can find balance together.

Sierra is sitting on an emerald green couch near a window, smiling at the camera. She has long, wavy brown hair, is wearing a dark blue button up sweater, she has a silver a nose ring and gold hoop earrings.

I found my way to counselling and Pilates through a curiosity about how people heal, grow, and connect. With a background in Sociology and Gender Studies, I am passionate about social justice and the ways our personal stories are shaped by the world around us.

I support clients in finding greater ease and joy in both mind and body, recognizing how closely connected our emotional and physical wellbeing are. My approach is warm, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that we all have the capacity for change.

My lived experiences healing from chronic pain, an eating disorder, and grief inform my empathy and respect for each person’s process. As a queer, Jewish, white, cisgender woman, I strive to create a space rooted in non-judgement, anti-oppression, and harm reduction.

Outside of work, I love being outdoors, cooking, tending to flowers, and organizing gatherings that bring together family, friends, and community.

I look forward to connecting with you!

  • No – Pilates and Clinical Counselling are different services that have different boundaries, intentions, and require different relationships.

Currently I keep my Pilates and counselling work as separate offerings. If you’re a counselling client interested in doing movement specific therapy, I’m happy to discuss how we can integrate more somatic-based modalities into our work together.

If you’re a Pilates client looking for a Clinical Counsellor, I’m not able to be your therapist. I have an incredible network of counsellors that I can refer you to!

  • Individual Pilates sessions are currently taught at the Core Community studio in Mount Pleasant, where I also lead group classes. Individual Pilates sessions can be booked by reaching out to me through the Contact page on my website!
