Sierra’s Counselling Approach
RCC #20660
I take a compassionate, collaborative, and holistic approach to counselling. With my background in teaching movement, I deeply value the mind–body connection and its role in healing.
I enjoy working with people who are re-evaluating their relationship with their bodies, health, and sense of self. Unpacking these issues in therapy may be prompted by life transitions, loss, or a desire to feel more at ease within yourself.
Working from a relational lens, I prioritize trust and genuine connection. If you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed, I’ll support you in exploring the roots of your pain and reconnecting with your authentic self. Together, we may examine patterns, process past experiences, tune into emotions, and build practical coping tools.
I aim to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and understood. I strive to practice from a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive perspective and hold awareness of how the world around us shapes our experiences. I welcome clients navigating a wide range of life challenges.

Eating Disorder Therapy
I work with people at all stages of their journeys with disordered eating – whether you’re just beginning to explore your relationship with food and your body, or looking for extra support with a journey already under way. Having personally recovered from an eating disorder, I truly believe that healing is possible. Recovery looks different for everyone, so we will work together to define what a healthy relationship with food and your body mean for you.
I practice from a weight-neutral and Health at Every Size (HAES) perspective and support the fat-liberation movement. My approach is gentle and non-judgmental, focusing on harm reduction and seeing you as a whole person. I believe in consensual tough-love; meaning that I will push you when you ask for accountability, but will prioritize your emotional needs first. I want you to feel comfortable shaping our sessions in a way that is right for you!
